I visited Sandstone Falls for the first time this summer. The drive to get there was miles and miles of a lonely narrow winding road, but it was worth it! There are several places to view the multiple falls, and all are spectacular! There were people kayaking in the main falls area so photographing there wasn't the best option, although I did find a deer path that led to this secluded and hidden area with a view of the falls. It was very calm and peaceful here. Even though there were many people in the area, I did not see or hear them, giving the sense of being alone in this lovely place.

Sandstone Falls is the largest waterfall on the New River. It is 1500 feet wide with 10-25 foot drops and is divided by a series of islands. It's a must see if you are visiting the area!
