This was my first snowfall in WV, and it happened on my birthday! I was so excited! What better way to celebrate than to go hiking in a party dress and red velvet cloak? I have to admit that it was VERY cold, but also a lot of fun. This 7.4 mile hiking trail follows the Guyandotte River and is a beautiful hike any time of the year.

Barboursville Park is the second largest municipal park in West Virginia. Its 750 acres include soccer fields, three baseball fields, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, little league baseball fields, a midget football field, fishing lake and trout ponds, picnic areas, an amphitheater, walking trails, horse show ring, and an archery range.
