I'm excited to announce I'm officially a gallery artist in West Virginia!
My work will now be available through Tamarack Marketplace in the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery (juried art shows of ready to hang work), and in the Marketplace itself (prints, cards and ready to hang works).
Tamarack Marketplace exclusively represents West Virginia Artisans of multiple disciplines including painting, photography, glass blowing, quilting, jewelry, sculpture and much more. The marketplace is spacious and filled with the best of West Virginia art. It also boasts a restaurant with a variety of delicious food. It's the perfect daytrip destination for art lovers of all ages.
Tamarack Marketplace prides itself on representing the best of West Virginia, and artisans must jury into the gallery in a an extensive two-step process. Once juried in, artisans may participate in juried art shows in the David L. Dickirson Fine Arts Gallery. Multiple themes are announced each year and are popular with art lovers from all over the world. Juried artisans may also have their works available throughout the marketplace.
After being accepted in step one (online application), I was invited to a jury session day where multiple artists set up a physical display of their works to be inspected by the jurors. I was an all day event, so my husband and I enjoyed exploring the marketplace, meeting other artists and having a yummy lunch.
Let me know in the comments if you've ever visited Tamarack Marketplace, and what did you enjoy the most about your visit? For those who would like to visit, I'll include the address and a link below. Happy art collecting!
