Masons' Senior Portraits
Mason wanted something different from 'typical senior pictures'. He's not interested in the latest fashion trends or sports. Mason has been accepted to Penn State College of Design and Construction. His dream is to be an Engineer and make a difference in the world.
Mason has a love of vintage bridges, vintage style hats, old buildings, all things tech, and he's a huge Fallout 76 video game fan. He wanted some cool moody images that highlighted his interests. His mother wanted images that reflected Mason's style as he is now (a brilliant young man on the verge of adulthood); but she also wanted some smiling images because she will always hold memories of Mason as a boy close to her heart. (See images below).
They asked me to suggest some locations with an old bridge and old buildings with character, and I had the perfect locations in mind, including an old train trestle; which they both loved!
Mason really wanted an image to highlight his favorite pastime, playing Fallout 76, so I created a fine art painted image for them (pictured above). I used a cutting edge AI program to describe and create the armor and background. Specifically, I needed the background and armor to match the lighting on my photo of Mason. I made some adjustments to both in Photoshop by painting, adding elements and removing elements. I put the armor on Mason using one of the photos captured in his session, removing the helmet from his armor and tucking it under his arm. I adjusted the overall lighting and color toning in Photoshop to blend the whole image together. I also added in extra foreground and background elements as well as lighting the tower to give depth and believably to the image.
Mason and his family wanted to have printed portraits to enjoy while Mason went off to college. They asked me to create an heirloom album, wallet prints, gift prints and a large fine art metal print on aluminum as part of their package.
Meeting Mason and his family was a great experience! Mason has a bright future and I look forward to seeing his accomplishments!
